Sandy Gatlin
From a young age, I have been immersed in a world of artistic brilliance, surrounded by the talents of my father, husband, and son, Alex. My own artistic journey began in high school and continued through college, though life's demands momentarily took me away from my passion. Now, in my retirement, I have rediscovered my love for painting, finding pure joy in every brushstroke and happiness in the completed canvas.
Guided recently by the mentorship of the exceptional Arlene Towne and Bonnie Miller, I have embarked on a vibrant abstract journey. Through the interplay of color, texture, and imagination, I explore new dimensions of expression, channeling my joy and creativity onto each canvas with the fluidity of a palette knife. My art is a celebration of the beauty and freedom that paint brings, and it reflects the deep fulfillment I've found in this creative chapter of my life.

From a young age, the world of abstract design and creation has captivated me, driving my passion for art despite its challenges. I believe I was destined to be an artist, yet discovering what kind of artist I would become has been my greatest journey. As a fine artist, graphic designer, and photographer, my creative spirit is constantly in pursuit of mastering new mediums, styles, and techniques. My latest fascination lies in abstract painting, where I find joy in the unpredictable evolution of each piece. Watching a painting come to life and transform into something beyond my initial vision is a source of profound inspiration and fulfillment.
